After Trafalgar, they say Admiral Nelson's body was sealed in a barrel of rum for the long voyage home. But as the days wore on and the rum ran low, the crew — weary, grieving, and still at sea — began to take the odd tot of rum from the barrel. By the time they reached England, the rum was gone, but the story endured.
